Post-hardcore band The Persevering Promise recently released a music video for their cover of Maroon 5‘s “Animals.”
The band’s current album, “An Illusion in Shambles“, which includes featured artists such as, Ronnie Winter of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Shawn Spann of I, The Breather, and Chad Ruhlig of For The Fallen Dreams/Legend landed The Persevering Promise at #8 on Billboard Heat Seekers chart this summer and the band says new music is coming soon.
“As a band, we appreciate all different types of music,” said guitarist & vocalist Jesse Barton. “The thing about pop music is that it’s already musically set up to be heavily rhythm-oriented and extremely catchy. We love to take a top 40 song and give it a metal makeover. Nothing like a little screaming and some double bass to make a pop song POP.”
You may recognize The Persevering Promise from festivals such as Vans Warped Tour, where the band spent the last 3 summers hustling their hearts out to gain fans and spread their music, with much success. The Persevering Promise rocked Michigan’s Dirt Fest last year headlined by Killswitch Engage and spent nearly half of 2014 on the road. With a bright future in their sights, the band continues to persevere.
The Spokane, Washington-based group has opened ears and pulled on heartstrings with their debut LP, “An Illusion In Shambles.” Featuring strong, honest vocals, ranging from vibrant hooks to solid gang chants, monstrous guitar riffs and technical, animalistic, powerhouse drumming, the release has gained the band new followers worldwide.
